The seaweed processing industries have a high growth in Indonesia as a maritime country. The most of the regencies in coastal areas show seaweed processing activities, including Bantaeng Regency in South Sulawesi. This study aims to: 1) Describe the transportation of integration among housings, facilities and industries; 2) analysis the transportation connectivity system which supports housing activities based on the Seaweed Processing and Industry; 3) porpose the transportation and housing Infrastructure Concept based on the Seaweed Processing and Industry. The data were collected from direct observation and interview. The method of this analysis is using descriptive qualitative, comparative study with the proper standard and spatial analysis. The results show that; 1) there is no integration among housings, facilities and industrial areas. All of them are placed separatedly; 2) the transportation connectivity can only serve a traditional mobility of seaweed production type. 3) the concept proposed in two types: First, the linear and concentric shape in sub-district scale. Second, the concentric shapes in district scale.

Abstract       pdf Full text PDF
Index: 10.183x/C591117 aned
In this work, the free vibration analysis is done on a blade of AIR X- 400W horizontal axis wind turbine. Turbine blade length is designed as 66.5 cm and 4140 steel, shape memory alloys (Ni-Ti, Cu-Zn-Al and Cu-Al-Ni) are used in blade root connection. In this project vibration analysis has been used to determine the natural frequencies and the mode shapes of wind turbine blades for each materials. The total deformation in the wind blade are determined using the finite element method with ANSYS in which the skin and the core of the blade are modeled using solid elements, respectively. The rotor that blades are connected is rotating 400 rpm in 8m/s wind speed. Accordingly, resonance frequencies will be occurred were determined for each materials. As a result of the analysis; the maximum total deformation was observed in 5. mode of natural frequency that blade root connection is Cu-Zn-Al. Generally total deformation values appeared close to each other. The performance of blade was evaluated for each materials were used in blade root connection.

IOptimization of Enzymatic saccharification conditions for acid treated bmr sorghum biomass was studied with the inhouse enzyme produced from Aspergillus sp.. Optimization of enzyme loading, substrate concentration, temperature and time yielded a maximum of 416.00 ± 0.55 mg/g sugars with an improved hydrolysis efficiency of 55.97 ± 0.45%. Protein adsorption onto lignocellulosic substance was investigated at pH 4.8 and at two different temperatures (4°C and 45°C) with the produced cellulase enzyme and compared with the commercial cellulase. The maximum adsorption capacities, the affinity constants and the binding strengths were more for sorghum biomass as compared to cellulose powder.

The port of Ahmad Yani Ternate is the node local trade and an opening through trade channels of logistics and services between regional and national levels. Loading and unloading of containers through the Port of Ahmad Yani Ternate increased during the period from 2009 to 2013. Therefore, accompanied economic growth of Ternate city is significant. The tendency of loading and unloading activities at the Port of Ahmad Yani Ternate like container unloading more than loaded, so loading and unloading of general cargo and bag cargo decreased by overloading into the packaging of logistics in containers. This study aimed to evaluate the quality of services and efforts to increase container service at the Port Ahmad Yani Ternate. The analysis technique is used in this study by using Multi Criteria Analysis. Ahmad Yani Piers service facilities such as under deck, side deck and upper deck repairs damaged due to heavy and port facilities such as a field efforts to improve service quality container Port of Ahmad Yani Ternate on a scale first priority is the short-term reclamation of 3,000 m2 with the performance appraisal scale is at a score of 8 to 10; The second priority, medium-term reclamation of 6,160 m2 with the performance appraisal scale is at a score of 6 to 8 and the third priority, long-term reclamation of 49 424 m2 with the performance appraisal scale is at a score of 4 to 6.

Assessment the Awareness and Knowledge Level about Radiation Protection: An Empirical Study on the Radiology Professionals of the Radiology Departments, East Java Indonesia
Meftah Ali Elnari, Johan AE Noor, Yuyun Yueniwati
Abstract       pdf Full text PDF
Index: 10.183x/E593440 aned
Rationale and Objective: first of all, as long as there are ways and foundations to protect ourselves from radiation then it must be pointedly taken into account and do the best for that. Second, since radiation protection is as important as radiation exposure and also CT scanner emits an extremely large amount of radiation comparing to the conventional x-ray and radiation has negative biological effects on living organisms which may lead to cancerous cells. Therefore, this study comes to shed a light on radiation protection and aims to assess the awareness & knowledge of radiology professionals and how they influence on the protection at radiology departments in CT units. Materials and Methods: questionnaire was applied to radiology professionals who work at radiology department in CT unit. In this study target groups were "technologists, physicists and radiologists who had been asked to fill in the questionnaire consisting of their actual assessment and knowledge on ionizing radiation and its protection. All questions were in multiple choice formats using Likert scale ranging from 1 to 4. Then, the obtained data were analyzed with Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) and Partial Least Square (PLS) softwares. Results: in this study 102 participants had taken part. Their level of awareness and knowledge about radiation protection and radiation doses and side effects were found to be between fairly good and good overall. However, the high effect was evidently appeared between Awareness & knowledge and Protection in present study. The respondents sample included technologist "radiographer", physicist and radiologist with percentages 69.6%, 2.0% and 28.4% respectively. However, the percentage of physicist was too low, which can understand that the hospitals lack these important people and the majority of covered hospitals do not have such as at all. In addition, based on their main Career as one of the most notable classifications in the questionnaire the results have shown whether it impact on the Awareness and Knowledge of radiation protection in general or not. So, the majority of categories were in fact either good or fairly good within all level degree too. The statistical methods analyzing show that all hypotheses were supported with value of t-statistics greater than 1.96 with error level α = 5%. Generally, analyzing the present study in details, it is surprising that the knowledge and awareness on radiation protection and safety among the participants were between a moderate and excellent level. On the other hand, strangely there were few of them who did not know that ionizing radiation is not used in MRI and US. Conclusion: the present study has illustrated that general assessment and knowledge related to ionizing radiation, its protection, radiation doses and side effects are sufficient among target groups CT units. The results highlight the majority of participants have had courses and studied in curriculum during their study about radiation protection and they comply with radiation protection protocol in hospitals. Finally, from findings it can be noted that protection is in a linear relationship with general awareness & knowledge, knowledge about radiation doses and knowledge about side effects.
