Drilling is an important part of the oil industry and penetration rate must be enhanced to ensure speedy completion of drilling operation. Weight on bit, Rotary speed, drill bit type, formation characteristics and mud properties are the basic factors that affect the penetration rate of a bit. Regular determination of the sand content of drilling mud is necessary because these particles can be highly abrasive, and can cause excessive wear of pump parts, drill bits, and pipe connections, excessive sand may also result in the deposition of a thick filter cake on the walls of the hole, or it may settle in the hole around the tools when circulation is temporarily halted, interfering with the operation of drilling tools of settling casing. The sand content test for set is used in the test for sand content determination using Bariod sand content set.

Drilling fluids Play a vital role in hole Cleaning suspension of cuttings, prevent caving, and ensure the tightness of the well wall. Moreover they also help in cooling and lubricating the drilling tool, transfer the hydraulic power and carry information about the nature of the drilled formation by raising the cuttings from the bottom to the surface, using a simple mixture of water and clays, to complex mixtures of various specific organic and inorganic products as additives. These additives improve fluid rheological properties and filtration capability, allowing bits to penetrate heterogeneous geological formations The mud used in this work is barite and bentonites at different samples to know the difference in their specific gravity, viscosity, surface tension, and pH of the samples when chemical additives are added.

Abstract
Index: 10.183x/J635258
This work deals with the water sorption characteristics of isorananofibril reinforced polyester composites with special reference to filler loading as well as temperature. It was found that, the neat polyester resin shows high water absorption at room temperature. The reduction of water absorption of INF filled composites is due to the improved inter-facial adhesion, which prevents the easy penetration of water molecules in the nanofibril composite. The formation of fibrous network of cellulose nanofibrils with the polyester matrix also prevents the swelling of the composite and thus reduces the water penetration. At 90 ˚C, after the initial capillary uptake of water, as the INF loading increases the water uptake also increases. This is due to the hydrophilic character of INF. At higher temperature, the composite lost all its hydrogen bonding interactions and the neat polyester shows lower water uptake. The mechanism of diffusion was analysed and the effect of INF on the sorption kinetics was studied. Parameters like diffusion, sorption and permeability coefficients of the composites were determined.

Nature inspires us to develop new high performance materials from its renewable resources and among these cellulose nanocrystals(CNCs) are most popular due to their unusual properties and resulting applications. In this work, cellulose nanocrystals were extracted by acid hydrolysis and the anticoagulant activity of surfaces decorated with cellulose nanocrystals is explored. Such surfaces bear a high amount of negatively charged sulfate groups, which mimic the naturally occurring anticoagulant heparin in terms of charge density. It is observed that CNC decorated surfaces significantly enhance the coagulation times of blood plasma and whole blood as studied from Quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation studies (QCM-D) and simple clotting tests. Cellulose nanocrystals bear a high amount of negatively charged sulphate groups which resemble the charge density of natural anticoagulant Heparin. Anticoagulant effect of functionalized cellulose nanocrystals was demonstrated by clinical test. This new material is potentially applicable in medicine as anticoagulant similarly as common heparin.

Abstract

Index: 10.183x/G6324449
Grape (Vitisvinifera) is one of the major important fruit crops ofMaharashtra. The high crop gives more profit through export as foreign exchange. The yield in grapes is related to the several factors like an adequate and timely supply of macro and micro nutrients through the critical stages of the plant life cycle, with emphasis on different nutrients at different stages of the growth. However, at present, the input in the form of fertilizer e.g. Zinc Sulphate, requirement is increasing, thus increasing the cost of production.Doses of Zinc Sulphate are decided by the experts after soil testing. In the present study, the soil samples are collected from different vineyards of the Maharashtra and KarnatakaState.Although grapes have been grown in the area for many decades, a recent conversion of vineyards into quality grape production and suggests that there is furtherpotential to improve qualitythrough fine –tuning of grape by using fuzzy information System. The present study is conducted to decide the actual requirement of Zinc Sulphate; the Fuzzy Information System (FIS) is developed. The laboratory data obtained from the analysis of soil testing report is used as an input to FISand output results are compared with the results suggested by the expert. It is found that the Zinc Sulphaterequirement as suggested by FIS of any grape vineyard is less than the suggestionsgiven by laboratory expert. This results help to reduce the cost of production without affecting the yield level of the grape vineyardwhile maintaining the soil quality.

In Hung Ha district, planning new industrial zones along with enlarging the existing ones are the key policies of the authorities. Locations, however, of the planned industrial zones are facing protests of surrounding residential areas because of environmental impacts. The purpose of this research is to assist Hung Ha government in assessing the suitability of planned locations of industrial zones by utilizing the combinations of Geographic Information System (GIS) technology, Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) technique and Fuzzy set theory. Firstly, opinions were surveyed from people residing near planned locations for determining which problems were complained mostly, and subsequently consulted suggestions from the authorities to form affected factors table. Secondly, AHP was applied for calculating weights of criteria and factors, and Fuzzy set theory was employed for obtaining continuous score of relevant degree from 0 to 1. GIS technology was applied throughout the paper from standardizing input spatial data to overlapping layers. The assessment results revealed that all 18 planned industrial zones in the researched district were not rational because of close to residential areas or water sources.

Study on Physicians Request for Computed Tomography Examinations for Patients With Head Injury in Hospital's Emergency Departments In East Java, Indonesia
Aiman Mohamed Sadeg, Johan AE Noor,Yuyun Yueniwati
Abstract
Index: 10.183x/K6328085
Background and objectives: There is a lot controversy about the use of Computed tomography (CT) for patients with minor head injury. We aimed to determine the practice of guiding rules for the safety of radiation and increasing awareness of physicians about risks of ionizing radiation and find out the reasons of emergency doctors for sending head injury patients to CT scan exams. Materials and Methods: A descriptive questionnaire in the Emergency Department (ED) based study was performed to assess physicians' knowledge of radiation doses received from radiological treatments and knowledge about Clinic Decision Support rules (CDS). The questionnaire consisted of 26 questions distributed to physicians working in the emergency department in six hospitals in East Java. Finally, the data collected have been analyzed by some tests using SPSS version 15 and Smart PLS. Results: In this study 44 participants had taken part. The percentage of general knowledge and awareness that shows the response of people who work in the emergency departments was total 44 respondents, by percent 6.8% of the respondents had passably knowledge, awareness and 84.1% they were having a good knowledge and awareness and 9.1% the respondents had very good knowledge and awareness. That means almost of respondents have good knowledge and awareness. To find out if an indicator is forming a construct (latent variables) testing the convergent validity of the measurement model with a reflexive indicator assessed based on the correlation between the item score to construct scores were calculated with the help of software Smart PLS. Size reflexive considered valid if the individual has a correlation (loading) to construct (latent variables) to be measured ≥ 0.5 or the value of t-statistics should ≥1.96 (test two tailed) at a significance level of α = 0.05. If one of the indicators has a leading value <0.5, or the value of the t-statistic <1.96, then the indicator should be discarded (dropped) because it indicates that the indicators are not good enough to measure the construct in right. The positive influence between general knowledge and awareness against to knowledge about radiation doses can be interpreted that the better general knowledge and awareness, then it will be followed by an increase in their knowledge about radiation doses. And vice versa, the worse general knowledge and awareness, then this will decrease their knowledge about radiation doses too. Conclusion: The present study has illustrated that the level of awareness and knowledge physicians who deal with ionizing radiation in CT scan units are adequate overall. There is a good influence between the diligence in applying the principles of guidance and rules stipulated by the nuclear energy in Indonesia by physicians to adjust the use of CT in the emergency department, the majority of participants who have a good awareness & knowledge, there are some of them do not have enough knowledge.
