The structural model and general principles of functioning the modified system has been developed to control the position and speed of the object. The proposed model is based on complex investigations to achieve the operational solution of the problems in the remote and ground-based control of the object movement. In the model created by the system, as an autonomous system the object has a flexible architecture that provides the control of the moving object in such extreme conditions as connection or disconnection with the remote and ground-based control systems.

Abstract       pdf Full text PDF

Mayjend Sutoyo S. and Zafri Zam-Zam Streets are situated in the central part of the city of Banjarmasin, with traffic having a high rate of growth. This occurs because the area constitutes one of the primary routes to the centers of the economy, education, and health; offices; and banks, and provide access to and from Trisakti Port. On the Mayjend Sutoyo S. streets, there is a signaledt-junction where jams commonly form, which is the signaled t-junction on the Mayjend Sutoyo S. Streets–Jalan Zafri Zam-Zam Streets. This results from heavy traffic and heavy vehicles (trucks, trailers, and so on) that slow down the traffic on the Mayjend Sutoyo S. Streets. This research carried out an analysis based on the Indonesian Highway Capacity Manual,1997, under the condition that the t-junction was managed using several alternatives.Research findings suggest that performance of the signaled t-junction under the existing condition is the lowest as it has a delay value (30.46 s/pcu) or, which means that, the LOS of the t-junction obtains a grade D. The improvement to make in order to get the best LOS is Alternative 4, which is to improve the cycle time, forbid heavy vehicles, and add lanes where those who intend to turn left can turn left directly with a delay value of 18.05 s/pcu and the LOS getting a grade C.

Abstract       pdf Full text PDF
Index: 10.183x/C0801011321 aned
The mechanical behaviour of rock is a vital parameter for deigning a safe slope, and for the geological construction in open cast mines. In the present study the various mechanical parameters of the field collected rocks were tested and examined in the laboratory. The total ten number of different types of rock samples were collected from the field. The tested results demonstrate that the GTBH (Banded Hematite)-1 shown the good UCS and young's modulus than the other rock samples which were collected from the mines. The results of this study will help in the designing the optimum pit limit for a mine.

Index: 10.183x/D0801012227 aned
Over the years, concrete structures designed on the basis of strength have been able to meet the criterion of safety however the compliance of durability criterion remained a distant dream. As a result, many concrete structures were out of service or they were rehabilitated at a huge cost. Most of these concrete structures were erected by producing and placing concrete at the site, which results in many workmanship problems e.g. honeycombing, segregation of aggregates, bleeding, sand streaking, and many other problems. Proper shuttering, mix design, proper placing and vibration can only be overcome many of these problems. Recently, these problems have been addressed and a viable solution has emerged in the form of Self-compacting concrete, SCC and High strength self-compacting concrete...........

A Study of Urban City Traffic Congestion Governance Effectiveness Based on System Dynamics Simulation
Shou-kui He, Jing Li
Abstract       pdf Full text PDF
Index: 10.183x/F0801013747 aned
Traffic congestion has been a hurdle preventing urban cities from being developed healthily and rapidly. This paper establishes a causal loop diagram and the stock-flow chart for the urban traffic congestion system of Chongqing city based on the system dynamics method. It also develops a traffic demand system and the main structural equations for the urban city. In addition, with taking the population, the per capita GDP, the resident travel times, the annual freight traffic volume, the rail transportation share rate into account, the population, economy and traffic system data are simulated and compared to the actual data which is showing a good match............

Election is a key issue when it comes to deciding who the next leader(s) or representative(s) are going to be through democratic means. The existing prevalent processes of voting in these elections are slow and strenuous and the outcome is often inaccurate. Thus, people lose faith in the electoral process and consequently in their leaders as well. This work developed an electronic voting system that aids the process of choosing such leaders in a manner that is fast, free and fair. The device was developed by interfacing fingerprint sensor, a keypad, GSM module, real time clock, an LCD and a personal computer to an Arduino Mega. Algorithm was developed and coded using............

Unit Commitment Problem solution using Water Evaporation Optimization Algorithm
Dr. R.Venkadesh
Abstract       pdf Full text PDF
Index: 10.183x/H0801015865 aned
This paper has proposed water evaporation optimization (WEO) algorithm for solving thermal Unit Commitment problem. The Unit Commitment problem is a mixed integer problem with many equality and inequality constraints like the minimum down and minimum up time, spinning reserve, and ramp rate so need to a complex optimization process. In this paper the constraint handling of the problem is realized without any penalizing of solutions so a wide range of feasible solutions will be available for final optimum response. The WEO s a novel method which has better performance than its original version and more optimized responses and escape for local minimum areas easily.. The main advantages of HGICA are good quality of the solution and high computational speed, which make it a suitable method for solving optimization problems. This method is carried out for different case studies efficiency of it is proved. Also the obtained results are compared to other optimization methods represented in literature for different scenarios.

Loreta Andoni, Aleksandër Biberaj
Abstract       pdf Full text PDF
Index: 10.183x/I0801016670 aned
TV broadcasters are facing day by day with the challenge of providing new services such as 3D television, ultrahigh definition television (UHDTV) and DVB-T/H, which need highercapacitysystems. Nowadaysattention is focus on using multi-antenna systems in emission and reception, which is consideredasa technique which increasedata rate and improvethe reception quality compared to traditional systems with single antennas in emission and receptionSISO (Single Input Single Output). The Digital Video Broadcasting (DVB) project is studying the application of MIMO (Multi-input Multi-output) technique in television broadcasting systems. But adding antennas to reception side requires a significant investment in infrastructure. For this reason, studies are being carried out to assess whether the improvement in system performance justifies it. Actually, the second generation of digital video broadcasting (DVB-T2) is using MISO (Multi-input Singleoutput)
mode based on the Alamouti code, which uses only one antenna on the reception side. The purpose of this article is to identify the advantages of MISO technique on a SFN DVB-T2 network.
