The temperature rise produced by absorbed laser flux densities below the levels which produce melting and vaporization of the surface has already been considered. Methods of calculating heating effects in various cases of interest are found in literatures. The results on metallic absorbing surfaces are easily adapted to other surfaces. Use of classical thermodynamics formalism is generally made. In metals, light is absorbed by interaction with electrons. A quantum of optical energy is absorbed by an electron which is raised to a higher energy state in the conduction band. The excited electrons collide with lattice photons and with other electrons and give up their energy. These are the same collision processes which govern the transfer of heat. We will, however, find an expression for temperature distribution for a slab moving with a definite velocity....................

The field experiments were conducted at Student Instructional Farm of CSAUAT Kanpur, during Rabi 2016-17 and 2017-18. The objective of investigation was to study the effect of foliar applied thio-urea with different doses on plant traits (morphological, yield and its components) of two wheat varieties under drought and irrigated condition. It was designed in split-split plot design with three replications. The two conditions i.e., drought (I0) and irrigated (I1) conditions were allocated in the main plots and two wheat varieties i.e., V1 (K- 1006) and V2 (K-307) in sub plot and for each five chemical treatments were applied as foliar spray at heading stages by 500 ppm (T3) and 1000 ppm thio-urea (T4), along with control (T0) in sub-sub plots. The significantly higher grain yield (5.30 & 5.26 gm) with best morpho-physiological. Next to this were 500ppm thio-urea (T3) i.e., 5.12 & 5.08, 1000ppm thio-urea (T4) i.e., 5.08 & 5.03 as compare to control (T0) i.e., 4.39 & 4.35 gm. Among cultivars, maximum responsive was K-1006 (V1) in most of traits and gave significantly higher grain yield (5.26 & 5.30) and and minimum in K--307 (V2) i.e., 5.08 & 5.12 gm with both concerning experimental years.

Abstract       pdf Full text PDF
Index: 10.183x/D0706011422 aned
Road over bridges (ROB) frequently use tied arch bridges with vertical hangers. Hanger spacing and arrangement has greater influence in the structural behaviour of tied arch bridges. A network hanger is a set of slanted hangers adopted in tied arch bridges instead of traditional vertical hangers. In this paper a parametric study is conducted on different network profiles by varyinghangers' inclination, number, location, and its effect on bending moment and axial force of tied arch bridge is investigated. The variations in structural forces for different profiles are discussed in detail, and it was observed that network profile with radial hangers is more efficient for theconsidered loads. This study is aimed to give an insight and confidence to the bridge designers and structural engineering fraternity to adopt network arch bridges for road over bridges (ROB) in India

Data these days is mainly categorized under two forms: structured and unstructured. While the structured data is stored in the databases, which makes it easier to work upon, unstructured data, on the other hand, include emails, text documents, and web page. Text mining thus comes in the picture when useful information needs to be retrieved from these form of unstructured text. This highly increases the need for text mining in the field of analysis and investigation. But how to go about with text mining. There are a number of tools and techniques present for text mining, so how does one go with the right selection of text mining technique in order to intensify the speed and at the same time reduce the time, effort to get the best and precise result. This paper focuses on providing the insights on tools that are available to work on the unstructured data along with techniques and fields where text mining can be applied.

The present paper discusses the status of deprivation in the blocks of the districts of Nagpur region. Human Development report of Maharashtra shows that there are striking regional disparities with State and at the district level. Many government initiatives were taken place to wipe out the disparities at the district level and raise the human development index of deprived district through introducing human development programme. In this paper composite Index for deprivation is computed by using Factor Analytic approach. Indicators included in the analysis are availability of proper housing water, Electricity and sanitation facility at the block level and this is termed as deprivation Index. Index measures the level of deprivation at the district and block levels based on the indicators. An Attempt has been made to propose the deprivation Index which provides the method of identifying where allocation needs to be undertaken in order to remove block level disparities of the district.

The Cu(II) ,Co(II) and Ni(II) -di α -formylmethoxy bis(3-pentadecenylphenyl)methane (DFMPM)and n- Butylamine complex were synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, conductivity measurements, electronic, infrared, 1HNMR spectral measurements, biological studies and DNA cleavage . The conductance measurements indicate that all the complexes are non-electrolytes. The infrared spectra indicate the coordination of imino nitrogen, M-N and M-O bonds. UV visible spectra could not provide structural details of these complexes. 1HNMR data are consistent with IR spectral data. The results indicate that both Cu(II) Co(II) and Ni(II) ions are octa coordinated and have moderate biological activity.
