Dried turmeric flour quality is influenced by several factors such as drying temperature and turmeric slice thickness. Optimal conditions for temperature and slice thickness can be achieved by optimizing the process through simulation and mathematical modelling. The method that can be used for these needs is Response Surface Methodology (RSM), which is able to provide an overview of the relationship between independent variables and the observed response in order to obtain optimal information from each independent variable that affects the response. In this study, the objective responses include moisture content, curcumin content, ash content and water activity. The recent trend in the healthcare industry indicates the adoption of machine learning methodologies ranging from, CAD – Computer Aided Diagnosis systems to patient demand prediction for timely allocation of resources. Additionally, in healthcare systems including clinics, hospitals, and laboratories, an immense amount of data is collected daily which makes this industry a prime candidate for building innovative solutions to save and improve all life. Through this paper it is shown that with the availability of deep learning tools such applications can be created and can subsequently supplement existing practices. Different neural network architectures are applied including MobileNet-V2, CNN, and two variants of Vision Transformers, B16 and B8 on the ChestX-ray8 Dataset provided by NIHCC – National Institute of Health Clinical Center. Issues such as class imbalance and sparsity are addressed and finally a comprehensive comparative analysis is done on the efficiency of all the methods used.

High efficient parallel connected DC-DC Zeta converter with interleaved control scheme operated under Discontinues conduction mode (DCM) is presented. DCM operation offers ripple free current, compact and cost effective system. Due to these key attributes, parallel connected Zeta converter can be employed in renewable energy application like solar and wind power plants. The converter is designed to deliver 100 W output power with rated output voltage of 48 V. Simulation of the system is carried out in Matlab/Simulink platform. The performance measures of the converter are analyzed during steady state and dynamic operating conditions.

Soil is one of the most abundant naturally occurring construction and foundation material. Generally, chemical stabilization is the addition of a stabilizer (rice husk and sawdust in this study) ) to a soil in order to change its index properties, while mechanical stabilization involves the treatment of soils to enable their strength and durability to be improved such that they become totally suitable for construction. Considerable amount of research concerning stabilization of soil with additives such as cement, lime, bitumen and polymers has already been extensively carried out and is available in literature. Fly ash, molasses, rice husk, egg shells, human hairs, waste rubber, sawdust etc. are some of those waste products have been mentioned with potential to be used for stabilization of soil for road construction. The waste materials used in this study are sawdust and rice husk.

In electrical power systems, reliability and efficiency of power system is crucial, thus, the need for contingency analysis which helps determine the operating status of power systems under various conditions such as outages. This research work is focused on performing a contingency analysis on a transmission network using Port Harcourt 132kV sub-transmission network as a case study. The power system network under investigation is a 21-bus system which was modelled and analyzed using a software known as Electrical Transient Analyzer Program (ETAP). A load flow analysis was performed using Newton Raphson's method which revealed the existing bus voltage profile and power losses in the power system in a critical condition.........
