Stabilization of soil is a process by which the soil properties can be modified. Soft soils, when contact with water loses their strength because of its high swelling potential which may lead to differential settlements and this type of soil is be found In Visakhapatnam port area. As water is the main con and it cannot be eliminated but its content can be reduced by various methods, soil was treated with lime to observe its behavior apart from reducing the content of the water using the codal provisions. For this, it was assumed that 3, 6, 9, 12 & 15 percentages of lime by weight of the soil might yield better results by improving the engineering properties of the soil. The results showed that with an increase in the content of the lime, moisture content present in the soil was reduced. In this process, it was observed that the values of Unconfined Compressive Strength, California Bearing Ratio was improving on a fairly basis up to a point and there was no improvement further in the case of UCS. It was concluded that using lime was helpful in improving the soil properties.

During system operation, for some reasons GPS time series data include some values that deviate from the rest of the dataset which is called outliers. To improve the quality of data in used for data analysis, it is very important to detect these outliers. Statistical Process Control methods are studied in this paper to solve this issue. The result shows that Shewhart control chart with the usage in pairs of chart can present both data trend and the dispersion of data. This control chart is suitable and highly feasible for detecting outliers in GPS time series data. In which, the mean – standard deviation ( x  s ) chart is more effective to detect small value outliers in dataset, whereas individual – moving range (I-MR) chart and mean – range ( x  R ) are suitable for detecting outliers with larger values. The result also shown that the EWMA control chart with chosen parameters is not suitable in GPS time series outliers detection.

A Novel Dc Voltage Detection Technique in Cascaded H-Bridge Multilevel Converter Based Photovoltaic System
Harsha Patle, Pranita Chavan
Abstract       pdf Full text PDF
Index: 10.183x/D0705011829 aned
In this paper a cascaded H-Bridge multilevel converter based Photovoltaic (PV) system with no voltage or current sensors at the dc-side is proposed. Removing the dc-side sensors simplifies the hardware, resulting in lower cost and higher reliability of the PV system. A novel dc voltage detection technique is established by estimating the capacitors' voltages from the output ac voltage of the inverter using single voltage sensor at the ac side of the converter. The scheme allows replacing all dc-side voltage sensors by a single voltage sensor at the ac-side of the converter. Furthermore, the dc current sensors, conventionally required for the maximum power tracking (MPPT), are also removed. Instead, the outputs from the capacitors' voltage control systems are utilized for the MPPT. The effectiveness of the proposed system with no voltage and current at dc side of the converter is demonstrated on a 2 kW single-phase 7-level CHB converter based PV system. The results are obtained from the MATLAB/ SIMULINK environment.

In today's age of ever increasing use of internet, there are around 74% active internet users out of which 60% users contribute to social networking and most of them are students from the age group 16-30. If this young generation is targeted specifically towards educational activities keeping the same social networking environment in the background would create interest in students for educational activities and also yield productive results. Using Big Data analytics, machine learning and recommender system on the student data and activity would provide them with useful information and suggestions which would help them gain knowledge and make proper decisions to make their future in right direction. This can be implemented by creating a social-cum-educational portal with recommender systems; also data can be generated and displayed on the same place after analysis through recommenders. There is large amount of social, educational information generated on a rapid basis on the web which can be analyzed and used for the betterment of the students and also the analyzed information can be provided to the students based on their interests. Specific information to specific student can be provided. Use of such technology can reduce the gap between students and the information which can lead to their inherent development and success!

Type 2 diabetes is one of the main causes of the development of systemic organ pathology due to severe metabolic abnormalities and is one of the most common and severe pathologies in the modern world, in which the corrected risk factors play a leading role [9,10]. At the same time, risk factors are clearly defined, interrelated and interdependent - an excessive high-calorie diet, leading to excess body weight and a sedentary lifestyle. stressor factor. This "death quartet" triggers the development of irreversible development of systemic organ damage, especially cardiovascular diseases, in the late stages [17,18].. In the early stages, structural disturbances are reversible and the period of the "therapeutic" window avoids fatal violations, provided that the risk factors, especially those of nutritional value, are corrected. Correction of drug disorders in diabetes mellitus is not effective enough, it is associated with the risk of side effects, but their rapid correction in emergency conditions is necessary..............
